Hello,

I have a question regarding m0n0wall Customization. I'd like to build a
bootable CD Rom ISO for m0n0wall 1.3 with the following changes:

1. The size of the RAM disk that Monowall runs in needs to be
changed to 512MB (15MB right now)

2. The size of the firewall state table to 100,000 (Requrres kernel
recompile - it's 30,000 right now)

3. The size of the network buffers to 65,536 (it's 1024 right now)

I have been attempting to do this through the use of the m0n0dev script
(http://www.activeobjects.net/monowall/m0n0dev/ no longer being hosted
at its source website)

I was able to follow the process provided by the script, make the
necessary changes and have been able to create a bootable image
(http://www.activeobjects.net/monowall/m0n0wall-cdrom-myimage.iso).
However the result is that when the image boots I receive the following
error before the option screen:

/etc/rc: /etc/rc.bootup: not found

/etc/rc.initial: /etc/rc/banner: not found

I've already tried the process using FreeBSD 6.4 and FreeBSD 6.2

Has anyone run into this problem before? Are there any suggestions about
how to fix this? Is there an alternative method to building or
customizing m0n0wall?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Best Regards,

Steve

P.S. I made a forum post about this earlier here is the link to the
